尋找極光之旅準備篇 -- 行李


上年買咗個新喼, 以為去芬蘭可以用... ...
.......跟團就得......
自己去有自己去的好處, 自由啲, 跟團就去唔倒SNOW CASTLE, NELLIM呢啲地方, 同埋會好貴....
但係代價係你要咩住啲行李, 無錯, 係"咩住行李", 唔係拖.....
因為冰天雪地, 地下啲雪成尺厚, 你唔會拖倒個喼....
所以, 又要破財.... 買咗兩個HIKING BACKPACK:
男人當然要咩多啲野....  50+10 L
我就咩個細啲.... 40+10L, 都係細咗10L啫.....
兩個都有raincover, 背部的SUPPORT都做得好好, 有得調校, 因為咩得耐都會好攰.....
又係出血的時候, TOTAL盛惠$1,598.......

尋找極光之旅準備篇 -- 保暖衣物


未出發先興奮....
買保暖衣物已經荷包大出血.....
尋日shop咗兩件好緊要的防寒物品
1. 保暖襪
上網找資料時，話足部保暖好緊要，尤其是較深雪的地方，
通常要著兩對襪，又要係可以排汗的料，否則著幾多衫都無用。

這是"MUND"的TWO IN ONE SOCKS, 有兩層，
唔駛著兩對襪咁煩，係準備在芬蘭北部果三日著的
2. 雪靴


這對是雪靴，去雪地著的鞋一定係厚底、防水、高筒、
內裡有保暖物料等等

這對比較舊款，所以較重，但勝在平，$800一對，
新出的最平都要$1400.....

今年有個什麼"拉尼娜"現象，歐洲可能將面臨“千年一遇”的新低溫，
我仲要去北歐....
上兩周在正開始煩緊保暖衣物的問題，就響UNIQLO找倒答案，
佢地有個HEATTECH系列，但香港款式不多，大多較薄，
但小妹無意之中找到一對較厚的LEGGING($99)，
用好似冷(其實係FIBRE)的物料做。
UNIQLO係唔俾人試LEGGING，但我襯亂閃咗入FITTING試，
哇，都真係幾暖，著著吓有啲"興"添.....

北歐的生活指數，係全世界最高的，所以今次的旅程，我地好多時都會住Hostel，但有一兩日會住D有特色的酒店, 好似 KEMI 的 SNOW CASTLE
1. Eurohostel at Helsinki (25 eur / person / night)

2. Rudolf Hostel at Rovaniemi (40 eur / person / nite)

3. Snow Castle at Kemi (280 eur / room / nite)

尋找極光之旅準備篇 -- 芬蘭機票

經過兩個月來的資料搜集，比較咗AIR FRANCE等AIRLINE，發覺都係FINNAIR平，其他的AIRLINE轉機要俾多好多附加費，而找agent訂機票同online訂，竟然online平d!!!
終於在finnair website買了機票，29/1出發，8/2回港
我吔會搭 FINNAIR直航
去程Hong Kong to Helsinki;
回程Ivalo to Helsinki to Hong Kong
CLICK個掣就無咗$15,190(雙人).....
燒銀紙都無咁快......

Day 1 HongKong  to Helsinki

 08:06    4T Tram to hostel
 08:30    arrive at Eurohostel & check in
 09:15    luggage storage & city tour (buy Helsinki card)

Day 2 Turku
09:03   tour at Turku Castle & city tour
11:00   Arrive at Turku
18:00   Train back to Helsinki

Day 3 Helsinki to Kemi

10:15   Ferry to Suomenlinna Sea Fortress (guided tour in weekend only; 13:30 start)

Clothing instruction for very cold weather


Layer clothing keeps you dry and warm, which not only feels comfortable but also improves performance, allowing the body to direct its energy resources to maximum effort instead of heat regulation. The basic philosophy of layer clothing is to create insulating layers of air between several layers of clothing. Because every person's fitness, metabolism and capacity to withstand the cold are different, no single correct layer-clothing solution exists. The right approach is to put on and take off layers according to weather conditions, own needs and level of physical activity. These instructions purpose is to help you "step by step" to get dressed properly against the arctic weather.
1st. STEP
The Base Layer is in contact with your skin. A tight fitting and wicking material is best to keep you warm and dry. The layer should consist underwear both shirt and long johns. To have comfortable feet they must be at the right temperature there for the proper socks to wear are made of a mixture of wool, should have a good fit and ventilate the humidity coming to and from the body.
2nd. STEP 
The mid layer is for insulation and keeping you warm. We recommend the use of fleeces, woollen pullovers, sweaters and trousers. Avoid cotton because it traps moisture and stays wet and draws heat from you.
3rd. STEP
The Outer Layer (overall) blocks wind, keep you warm and allow moisture to escape. The outer layers include shells made of a similar material as Gore - Tex.

Finland! We're coming!!!




看北極光是我兒時的願望....
此願望快將實現!!
目的地是芬蘭 -- 芬蘭非常北的地方，一個叫NELLIM, INARI的小鎮 
(地圖中近一個叫IVALO的地方)，鄰近 ARTIC OCEAN (北冰洋)
此處二月份氣溫低至攝氏-30度，真正是極地探險!
好期待!! 好期待!!! 快些到二月!!!!......
